TAHF Social Welfare Services
The need for this service resulted from the high demand for basic needs by the poor in the society. TAHF would like to acknowledge the support of the Nigerian Customs Service, which in April 2003 allowed TAHF to purchase a container load of clothing items, which went along way in supporting about 400 poor persons in the society.
The beneficiaries totaling 1000 persons were supported within the Little Saints Orphanage, Palmgrove, Lagos; Blessed Word Ministries serving rural areas; SOS Village, Mushin road, Isolo, Lagos and Jesse International World Outreach Ministries. Items donated included food, clothing materials and cash donations.
Other support areas include the payment of school fees for a number of children, for example, Afemikhe, who has recently concluded her secondary school ( Sunbeam Comprehensive School, Bammeke Shasha, Lagos).
In the case of accommodation, whereas this is not the primary objective of TAHF, the Foundation found it necessary to support homeless persons. The beneficiaries were the families of Miss Juliet Oketa residing in Abuja and Mr Samuel Adekunle residing in Lagos.
TAHF has instituted counseling sessions to persons with Sickle Cell conditions and their families on every 3rd Wednesday of the month at LASUTH Conference Hall, Ikeja.
