  ABOUT TAHF
Our Vision

Giving succour to persons with Sickle Cell Anaemia conditions and the under-privileged in the society.


Our Mission Statement

In commitment to this vision, the TAHF Board of Trustees adopted the following initiatives which translated into a working policy:

  1. TAHF MEDICATION SUPPLY PROGRAMME – Provision of routine drugs to persons with Sickle Cell condition. These include Paludrine, Folic acid, B Complex and Cicavlit syrup.
  2. TAHF MEDICARE SERVICES – Providing medical support for the treatment of complications in individuals with Sickle Cell condition. These include chronic leg ulcers, hip joint replacement, chronic respiratory conditions, etc.
  3. TAHF SOCIAL WELFARE – Provision of food, clothing and educational support to the poor in the society, with priority given to Sickle Cell affected families.
  4. TAHF IEC PROGRAMME – Using electronic and print media to inform, educate and create awareness on the management and prevention of Sickle Cell Anaemia.
  5. TAHF RESEARCH PROGRAMME – Support to specific research and development of therapeutic preparations that could aid the management of Sickle Cell Anaemia.
